Kentaurus

Ultra Early Forage Maize

Kentaurus sets the standard in ultra early maturity.

For maize growers looking to boost yields without compromising maturity, take a closer look at Kentaurus. With higher yields than Revolver, Leeds, Acclaim or Avenir and quality to match, set your standard with the UK’s highest yielding ultra early forage maize.

Ultra early – Predicted NIAB Group 11

Highest yield performance of all ultra early hybrids at almost 18 t/ha DM Yield

Ultra early maturity in NIAB trials

             High cob : stover ratio

             Compact, stable plant type

             Strong vigour

Excellent silage quality at 11.4 ME, combined with leading starch yields

Extremely high starch content (over 37 %)

Excellent whole plant digestibility (over 70 %)

FURIOSO

Forage Maize

Extremely Early – High Starch Maize

Furioso is a very early variety similar to CROWN, from the same breeding program. Its overall yield in trials has been slightly lower than Crown, but cob yield and fibre digestibility are higher producing a very early variety with impressive nutrient density and high starch content. This variety is ideal for complementing grass based rations.

It is a compact grain type variety with exceptional lodging resistance. It has proven to be highly adaptable, producing consistent results across Ireland, UK and Denmark. It appears to be well suited to marginal sites, and has performed well at altitude in Yorkshire. Furioso has also performed well in NIAB grain trials.

             Extremely early cob ripening

             Good establishment vigour

             Excellent standing ability

             First choice for marginal sites

             Starch range 32.99% - 38.30% (Olivers trials 2006)

             D value range 70.39% - 74.04% (Olivers trials 2006)
