GrassMax Base has been specifically designed for new reseeds where subsequent overseeding is routinely intended.

This principle allows the use of significantly higher yielding grasses and can increase annual yields by up to 30% compared to more traditional mixtures. Routine overseeding will be required however to maintain plant numbers at the necessary levels to achieve these yield benefits.

HF GRASSMAX - BASE

For new reseeds where subsequent overseeding will occur 

• 14 kg/acre (35 kg/hectare) 

• Varieties specially selected for their high yields under both cutting and grazing
• 100% Tetraploid content ensures high sugar levels for silage fermentation and grazing palatability
• The use of very high yielding but open grasses means that overseeding will be required after 2 to 3 years to maintain plant numbers and sward density
• Contains a high proportion of HF's unique Cutting Clover Blend to ensure good clover production and survival under intensive management
• No Clover option available on request
• The mix for overseeding should be selected from the GrassMax range on the basis of sward use ie cutting, grazing or dual purpose

HF GRASSMAX - CUT

For overseeding fields that will be mainly cut for silage

• 10 kg/acre (25 kg/hectare)

• 100% Tetraploid grasses which are ideal for overseeding as they have the largest seeds and are aggressive establishers
• Grasses based entirely on Hybrid and Perennial Ryegrasses with the highest conservation yields on UK recommended lists
• Very good forage quality from Solid and Citeliac
• Contains a high proportion of HF's unique Cutting Clover Blend to ensure good clover production and survival under intensive management
• No Clover and also Red Clover option available on request

For overseeding fields that be will be predominantly grazed

• 10 kg/acre (25 kg/hectare)

• Achieves SugarMax status with a high proportion of the top sugar yielding variety Calibra
• Based entirely on Perennial Ryegrass varieties with the highest grazing yields on UK Recommended Lists
• 100% Tetraploid grasses which are ideal for overseeding as they have large seeds and are aggressive establishers
• Based entirely on Perennial Ryegrass varieties with the highest grazing yields on UK Recommended Lists
• Very good Crown Rust resistance from both Polim and Delphin both of which receive very high resistance ratings from NIAB
• Contains a high proportion of HF Grazing Clover Blend containing varieties specially selected for their production and persistence under grazing
• No clover option available on request

• Based on Hybrid and Perennial Ryegrass varieties with high yields under both cutting and grazing
• Exceptionally good Crown Rust resistance from both Delphin which receives the highest possible resistance rating on the 2008 NIAB Recommended List  
• Contains a high proportion of HF's unique Dual Purpose Clover Blend designed to achieve maximum Clover content and persistency under both cutting and grazing
• Clover Blend based on the most productive Clover varieties including Avoca one of the highest yielding and most persistent varieties available today
