DESCRIPTION

A mini granular slow release fertiliser fortified with naturally occurring mycorrhizae fungi and beneficial soil bacteria for healthy grass and roots. Used by professional groundsmen for superior results.

 

SUITABILITY

Bio-Active Lawn Feed is suitable for all types of lawn. Two formulations have been designed, one for Spring/Summer and one for Autumn.  It can be used to feed an existing lawn or as a pre-seeding fertiliser for new lawns and patches. This microbially enhanced product is particularly suitable for those looking to achieve a green and healthy lawn with more efficient nutrient usage and many environmental benefits.

 

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Mycorrhizae fungi form a mutually beneficial relationship with the roots and thus help to develop the root system. Stronger and healthier roots are more effective in feeding the plant with nutrients and water and protecting it from disease. Other fungi and beneficial bacteria play a vital role in enhancing the underground food chain to promote a healthy soil structure for the plant to thrive in. Thatch, which is the layer of dead material between the lawn and the soil, is broken down by the bacteria and recycled back into the soil as usable nutrients. Keeping thatch under control is essential for a healthy, green lawn. All this activity above and below ground, together with a slow release fertilser, means more healthy grass on the surface.

 

WHEN TO APPLY

Bio-Active Lawn Feed can be applied any time between March and October. Use Spring/Summer Lawn Feed from March onwards and ideally 2-3 times through the growing season to nourish the grass. Apply Autumn Lawn Feed in September/October to help your lawn cope with Winter conditions and prepare for the following Spring.

 

For a new lawn, apply a day or so before seeding and rake in. If you are adding new seed to an existing lawn then apply the Lawn Feed on the same day as the new seed or a few days afterwards. Avoid using when hot and dry or in frosty conditions.

 

HOW TO APPLY

Cut or tear open spreader bag/carton. Apply evenly at a rate of 20grams per sq. metre. Bio-Active Lawn Feed will not scorch your lawn when applied at the recommended rate and in suitable conditions. Over application may cause damage to the lawn. There is no need to water in unless conditions turn hot and dry.
