This newly created position is a development opportunity for a driven and enthusiastic individual who would like to develop their knowledge and skills by learning all aspects of a busy production process.

The person appointed will undergo a structured programme to enhance their understanding of the complete processing cycle from raw goods to despatch, production planning, stock control and distribution. This programme will be overseen by the Director of Operations who will be overall line manager.  Functional daily reporting will be delegated to the appropriate member of the Operations team depending on where the postholder is currentlydeployed.

Applicants should be motivated, flexible and willing to use their initiative after initial training as their experience grows. Excellent communication skills are essential as is the ability to work as part of a diverse team and to remain focussed and calm at times of peak demand. An understanding of the importance of Health and Safety in the workplace, good IT skills and the ability to learn and use Warehouse Management Systems are all prerequisites.
