New Director of Agriculture

Chris Gamble is the new Director of Agriculture for DLF in the UK

Chris Gamble has been appointed as the UK Director of Agriculture for global grass seed breeding company DLF. Based at the company’s UK headquarters at Inkberrow in Worcestershire from 1 December 2015.

Mr. Gamble is a sales and marketing professional, with more than 25 years experience in agriculture, horticulture, seed breeding and crop protection.

In the past when working for Monsanto, he was team leader for Roundup and product manager for Avadex. He was also responsible in 2000 for uniting the purchased oilseeds and maize businesses of Semance Cargill, PBI and DeKalb into one unit, and implemented the re-brand and re-launch. The same business model is still in operation in 2015.

Following on from ten years with Du Pont (UK) looking after key national accounts, Mr. Gamble has spent the past five years with Cheminova – firstly working within the global portfolio management group based in Denmark, and latterly as the Canadian Marketing Manager and Eastern Region Sales Manager based in Ontario.

“We are delighted that Chris is coming back to the UK to take on the role of Director of Agriculture,” says DLF Managing Director Tim Kerridge.

“These are exciting times for us following major investment in our production capability and Chris’s knowledge, experience and enthusiasm will allow us to further develop our sector leading position in the market"
