More than two years after sowing, the transformation at DLF Inkberrow continues to showcase the long-term value of well-managed wildflower areas on golf courses. What began as a carefully planned Proflora golf rough project has now matured into a thriving, balanced habitat filled with diverse grasses and flourishing wildflowers. Wildflower Specialist Paul Hadley has closely monitored the development of the site since establishment, observing how the carefully selected 80/20 Proflora mix has naturally evolved over time. DLF Colour Boost brings burst of colour to the scenic setting at Lees Hall Golf Club
Lees Hall Golf Club are celebrating the success of their growing wildflower initiative, developed in conjunction with DLF Seeds. Led by Head Greenkeeper Ian Whitehead and Assistant Greenkeeper Danny Tozzi, the club is now entering its third year of using mixtures from the Colour Boost range which has added areas of high visual impact and a real ‘boost’ to biodiversity around the course. SFI Update - As DEFRA Releases The Headline Details
Defra has now released the headline details of the Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) 2026 for England following announcements yesterday at the NFU conference. The revised offer opening this summer shows some significant changes, a more streamlined structure, revised payment rates and a £100,000 payment cap on agreements designed to ensure support of funding is distributed more effectively across farm businesses. The Wales Sustainable Farming Scheme and what it means for the Welsh Farmers going forward in to 2026
From 2026, the SFS will replace the Basic Payment Scheme, which will be fully phased out by 2029. This marks a major shift in how farming is supported. Instead of direct payments based on land area, the focus moves to rewarding farmers for delivering sustainable outcomes - while continuing to produce high-quality food. Read more
