DWARF Sorghum

Dwarf Sorghum has a short, sturdy, broad-leaved stem and a substantial seed-head, providing birds with warm cover throughout the shooting season.

Often sown as a companion to maize with the bulkier, shorter sorghum plants giving protection to the birds below the taller growing maize plants (see Four Ten)

Average height 1 - 1.25m.
